Unfortunate loss to the blogging community

UPDATE: They're back!!!. Must have gotten the money needed. Phewwwww! Go and Check them out here.

If you don't or didn't know about or read Fashion Gone Rogue, then it seems you may have missed out. Fashion Gone Rogue was one of the most reliable sources of amazing fashion imagery. Updated multiple times a day with literally the most up to date editorials, campaigns, and feature artists and models, it was one of my essential reads. To get an idea of the quality and range of imagery that was being posted, do a google image search of Fashion Gone Rogue.

Zabriskie Point

Check out the final sequence of Zabriskie Point, Michelangelo Antonioni's film about, well who really knows. Watch the entire movie and decide for yourself. However, its hard to believe this sequence was made in 1970. We think we are so sophisticated with our films and technology, but this is pretty beautiful and awesomely imaginative. Maybe we just need to take the time to blow some shit up and actually thoroughly enjoy it. You know what I mean???

If there ever was such a woman. . .

After having fantasized this whole background story that Jacquelyn Jablonski was some Scandinavian beauty that I would never have any chance at all with, I just found out yesterday she is from New Jersey. Not that this changes my chances with her at all, but I now have hope. In any case. . . More photos after the jump!

Music You Should Check Out!

This one is from our playlist in the stores, and I will admit that I hate to love this song for reasons untold. However, it seems to fit the mood of this Sunday afternoon at the moment.
This is not the image for the song, but I really love this photo. Check out the song here. It is a Remix of the Au Revoir Simone song "Shadows" by the Teenagers.

Literary Suggestions Running Two Fold

Again, we maybe jumping the gun here a little, but in preparation for the Fall/ Winter Collection, you should read or reread Jack Kerouac's On The Road. The seminal beat novel, which recounts the wild and mischievous lives of a couple of guys traveling this great continent is the initial impetus of the new Fall/ Winter 2010 Collection. Read it and let us know what you think. Then join us in the Fall as we outfit you for your own wicked adventures, whether they tend to be contained by life in the city or you are country bound.

Keith Haring at Deitch Projects

This piece is unbelievable and a definite must see. I don't care if you grew up in the eighties or just have an affliction for them through contemporary mediums, but being in this space with this work transports you back to a lively, dare I say it, more carefree time. Read more and more photos after the jump.

Oh and by the way. . .

Both the show and after party yesterday and last night, respectfully, were huge successes. All of us at Buckler welcomed the upbeat and carefree atmosphere of the after party, and some of us even witnessed Andrew allow himself to enjoy the moment, even if it was just that, a moment. But now on to more work to keep this thing rolling on for you. If you were there, you know what I am talking about, if you were not, then you missed out on this one, but there is always next time.

Photos to come. . .

Hey, read this!

It’s easy these days to lose hours reading meaningless shit on the internet. However, I feel it is necessary to link you to one of my new favorite guilty web pleasures, Dear Uncle Steve: Relationship Advice from Steve Lewis & a Girl. First, if you know Steve Lewis, you know that his stories and personality can be mesmerizing, and this is not an overstatement. As Steve frequently drops by the store, I always look forward to what I have come to equate to as that cool friend of your parents when you were a kid that could hold your attention with endless stories of fantastic places and sticky situations you could only dream of. Well, this column that he writes for Black Book with Eiseley Tauginas is similarly entertaining, thoughtfully poignant, and peppered with storied life experience.

Check it out here:

Steve also writes a column titled Good Night Mr. Lewis, which will keep you up to date on life, as only someone like Steve could possibly do.
